ARAG has picked up the Insurance Provider of the Year title at the Personal Injury Awards, for the third time in four years. The company triumphed in a strong field of shortlisted after-the-event (ATE) providers, in a category that identifies innovation, service and commercial success as key criteria, as well as positive relationships throughout the personal injury litigation sector.

The independent judging panel highlighted the company’s partnership ethos and longstanding commitment to the principles of access to justice in its commendation:

The winner is a top insurer that takes a partnership approach to its work. Its ATE policy boasts impressive numbers, with this stand-out insurer supporting hundreds of thousands of clients. Just as impressive is the winner’s outstanding commitment to access to justice, exemplified by a notable case that made it all the way to the Supreme Court last year.

ARAG recently revealed that, since entering the ATE market, some 15 years ago, its policies have insured cases that have recovered more than £2 billion in compensation for over 100,000 clients. Commenting on the win, Head of Sales Mike Knight said:

It’s very satisfying that all the hard work we have put in has been recognised. This award acknowledges the huge effort that everyone at ARAG, across claims, underwriting and all the other teams, makes to stand up for personal injury victims.

ARAG last won the Insurance Provider of the Year prize when the company retained the award in 2020. This year’s awards were presented at a ceremony in Manchester’s iconic Hilton Deansgate hotel, on Thursday.
