Business policyholders whose staff may be working remotely, many of them for the first time, can use two tools to help ensure that homeworking is legally compliant.

You will need to log in to the ARAG Legal Services website to access the documents. If you haven’t registered to use the site before, you can do so using the voucher code in your policy documentation.

Our Homeworking Policy builder enables the business to set out the rules and responsibilities for staff who are working from home, while the Homeworker Risk Assessment will help to ensure that the business continues to meet its health and safety obligations.

Like our legal advice helplines, the ARAG Business Legal Services website has proved an invaluable resource to our policyholders, during the coronavirus pandemic. The extensive Law Guides about common legal issues, such as employment, health and safety and debt recovery, and dozens of customisable legal document builders have seen unprecedented interest.

We have been working hard with our technology partner Epoq Legal Limited to ensure the website reflects the rapidly changing legal requirements and the support that is being made available to businesses by the Government. As well as updated content, the site also has a Letter for Putting a Worker or Employee on Furlough Leave, to help businesses that need to furlough employees ensure that they do it in a legally compliant way.

Your voucher code for registering to use the ARAG Legal Services website can be found in your policy documentation, or by contacting your insurance provider.
