Quick fire questions

What does your role at ARAG involve?

My role involves looking after new and existing ARAG relationships across the South East of England.

Briefly outline your career history...

I started working in insurance as a rosy-faced 20 something at A-Plan Insurance. Since then, I have worked with many known names in the Broker, Insurer and MGA market including BJP, A-One, and Zurich.

What opportunities will you be exploring over the next 12 months?

I’m passionate about being a specialist in this sector, so I am looking forward to developing our existing accounts as well as working with Brokers and MGA’s that are passionate about enhancing their value proposition.

If you could give one piece of advice to brokers it would be...

I’m a big believer in finding the right solution, rather than one that fits. Define yourself by giving your clients something they need, not just at claims stage, but throughout the life of their policy.

If you were stranded on a desert island what three items would you want with you?

The company man in me says “phone, laptop and credit card” but what use would that be?! So I’ll go for golf clubs, sun cream and a nice cold beer.

If you could meet any famous person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

It would have to be Tiger Woods. What he has done for golf is unbelievable. The reason I picked up a set of clubs in the first place and never looked back.
